Applique One visitor had this to say about the use of the address labels to create templates. I like your technique ideas for applique with the labels...good idea, but you mentioned that you had trouble getting the backing off. Have you ever tried scratching through the backing with a straight pin and peeling from the scratched line? It has worked great for me. I first tried the pin technique while trying to remove the paper backing from some very small applique pieces that I had applied fusible web to.I just scratched a line all across the paper backing and peeled it off from the line. Also, you can use contact paper for templates if you have any around the house. When I was using some cut-out contact paper shapes for quilting templates, I did the same thing and it worked great. Feel free to use the info on your website. I know I always appreciate any little tips that make quilting easier or more fun. Sally Thanks Sally that's a great tip! Attic Blocks
